Quick answer
What decision should I make first with Miller Mover for local moving?
Put each handoff in writing before the date is held. A local estimate should account for crew size, stairs, elevators, walking distance, truck access, and the volume of belongings. Those details shape the written scope and working plan.

Answers for move day
Local Moving FAQs.
What should be ready before crew preparation for local moving?
In the local moving scope, the working sequence is Walkthrough and inventory, Protect, load, and check, and Unload and place by room. Adjust that order during the walkthrough if the property or inventory calls for it. The final estimate should answer the question, not leave it implied.
How much lead time should I allow for the local moving date?
During the local moving walkthrough, reach out once the date is reasonably firm. Weekends and the end of the month usually leave less room to adjust. That keeps the plan tied to the job the crew will actually find.
When should pricing for local moving be updated?
At the final local moving review, pricing is based on the confirmed inventory, access, distance, crew needs, and requested services. Clear ownership prevents a handoff from being missed.
What can complicate property access for local moving?
Before local moving, describe truck parking at both addresses, exterior steps, elevators, long carries, and any turn that may be tight for a large piece. The crew should not have to guess about it at the door.
How can labels support destination placement for local moving?
For this local moving request, choose room names before labeling starts and identify the pieces that must be placed first at the new address. A short note now is easier than a decision beside a loaded truck.
Why should I put changes to the local moving plan in writing?
For a written local moving plan, report added rooms, storage stops, access changes, or a large item as soon as you know about it; any of them can change time or crew needs. The final estimate should answer the question, not leave it implied.

Moving experiences with Miller Mover
Our movers, Ben and Blaine, showed up about 15 minutes early and ready to get straight to work. They assessed the effort and then just set to it. They worked steadily and efficiently the whole time. They were polite and pleasant. They moved our furniture and belongings with care. From the booking process to the actual move, this was a great company to work with.
The move went very well. They took care in disassembling and reassembling large furniture, which I thought would take forever to do but they finish the move within a reasonable amount of time. They were courteous and asked where each piece of furniture should go. There was one minor scratch made on a wall during the move and the mover notified me when they did it and the scratch was understandable given the narrow stairway. Overall, I would use them again in the future and would recommend them to others.
Great experience with Miller Mover! Their crew of Jules, Ty, and Nodo moved us from storage to new house. They were professional, courteous, and worked tirelessly from arrival to completion. I highly recommend this company and crew for any moving services required and wish to thank them again for the outstanding service provided to us!!!
We had a great experience, the movers were friendly and professional. They took good care of our belongings, they treated every item like it was theirs. It would have been great though, if they had an electronic pay system (machine) on site that would allow paying tips using credit cards, just like restaurants do.
Miller Mover was awesome. Steven and the crew arrived at our door promptly at the start time. I actually think they'd been looking for and securing parking for 20 minutes prior. They got to work straight away and were very professional and courteous, even getting our huge sofa out fairly easily, where the original delivery company had trouble. Would highly recommend!
I used Miller Mover when I moved Downtown over 20 yrs ago. I was very surprised; they got even better. Moving is stressful, however, Paul & Alex were fantastic. They wouldn’t let me do anything. They handled everything very quickly, professionally, great energy, very organized (especially since part of the stuff was going to the Apt & the other to Public Storage) and their teamwork is phenomenal. I would definitely use this Company again and hopefully be able to request Paul & Alex. Nothing was too big or small - I just really appreciate them. Thank you.
