Answers for move day
Residential Moving FAQs.
How much lead time should I allow for the residential moving date?
During the residential moving walkthrough, start after the lease, closing, or possession dates are dependable. Leave time for elevator reservations or building approvals. Use the written scope as the reference if details change.
When should pricing for residential moving be updated?
At the final residential moving review, an itemized scope follows a review of inventory, access, distance, and requested handling. Resolve this while there is time to adjust people or equipment.
What should be ready before crew preparation for residential moving?
Before residential moving, the working sequence is Plan the household, Prepare and protect, and Settle the new rooms. Adjust that order during the walkthrough if the property or inventory calls for it. Write down any exception instead of relying on a moving-day conversation.
How can labels support destination placement for residential moving?
For this residential moving request, decide where large furniture belongs, which rooms need to function first, and who can answer placement questions during unloading. Flag uncertainty during the walkthrough.
What can complicate property access for residential moving?
For a written residential moving plan, share stairs, elevator rules, floor-protection requirements, gate codes, and the path between the truck and each home. Confirm the decision before the crew schedule is set.
When should I set aside personal items to keep accessible during residential moving?
On a residential moving job, carry keys, medications, personal documents, valuables, chargers, and anything the household needs before the first boxes are opened. Use the written scope as the reference if details change.

Moving experiences with Miller Mover
Our movers, Ben and Blaine, showed up about 15 minutes early and ready to get straight to work. They assessed the effort and then just set to it. They worked steadily and efficiently the whole time. They were polite and pleasant. They moved our furniture and belongings with care. From the booking process to the actual move, this was a great company to work with.
The move went very well. They took care in disassembling and reassembling large furniture, which I thought would take forever to do but they finish the move within a reasonable amount of time. They were courteous and asked where each piece of furniture should go. There was one minor scratch made on a wall during the move and the mover notified me when they did it and the scratch was understandable given the narrow stairway. Overall, I would use them again in the future and would recommend them to others.
Great experience with Miller Mover! Their crew of Jules, Ty, and Nodo moved us from storage to new house. They were professional, courteous, and worked tirelessly from arrival to completion. I highly recommend this company and crew for any moving services required and wish to thank them again for the outstanding service provided to us!!!
We had a great experience, the movers were friendly and professional. They took good care of our belongings, they treated every item like it was theirs. It would have been great though, if they had an electronic pay system (machine) on site that would allow paying tips using credit cards, just like restaurants do.
Miller Mover was awesome. Steven and the crew arrived at our door promptly at the start time. I actually think they'd been looking for and securing parking for 20 minutes prior. They got to work straight away and were very professional and courteous, even getting our huge sofa out fairly easily, where the original delivery company had trouble. Would highly recommend!
I used Miller Mover when I moved Downtown over 20 yrs ago. I was very surprised; they got even better. Moving is stressful, however, Paul & Alex were fantastic. They wouldn’t let me do anything. They handled everything very quickly, professionally, great energy, very organized (especially since part of the stuff was going to the Apt & the other to Public Storage) and their teamwork is phenomenal. I would definitely use this Company again and hopefully be able to request Paul & Alex. Nothing was too big or small - I just really appreciate them. Thank you.
